RESEARCH LABORATORIES
Image Processing Laboratory
The laboratory has been established with the aim of implementing the research projects in the field of image and video processing and analysis, image creation, and computer science. Projects are generally described in relation to computational intelligence methods such as neural networks, genetic algorithms, fuzzy techniques and in the field of machine vision and processing. This laboratory is equipped with sufficient imaging, scientific and research facilities in this field. The main mission of this research group is to develop image and signal methods from a practical point of view, to carry out practical projects in the field of image and signal imaging, and to provide strategic and operational plans in the field of applied image and signal processing. This laboratory has conducted practical activities in the field of image and signal processing (electrical, computer, medical engineering, information technology and the application of image processing in remote sensing).
Telemetry Laboratory
Telemetry or remote measurement, in short, is the automatic process of data transmission, which is obtained by measuring an environmental parameter located at another location for the purpose of monitoring. The parameters are measured using a sensor. Data transmission can also be realized on a mostly wireless telecommunication platform using radio, ultrasonic or infrared waves. Also, data transmission can be implemented by wire, such as data transmission based on telephone networks, computer networks, optical telecommunications or high voltage power lines. Modern remote measurement systems are usually based on mobile phone network and internet. It should be noted that the remote measurement network can be used for remote control in addition to monitoring purposes. Due to the importance of this issue in today’s world, a lot of research is done in this field and there are many needs in this field in the country’s industry. It is hoped that by starting this research group and focusing on practical projects, it will be possible to move in the direction of reaching a third generation and entrepreneurial university.
Electronic Circuits and Systems Laboratory
The Electronic Circuits and Systems (ECS) research group in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering conducts research in various areas of analogue and digital circuits and systems.
Analogue ECS research includes ultra low-power circuits, particularly for biomedical applications; Wireless sensing; Remout sensing; analogue circuit synthesis; ultra-wideband circuits; power amplifiers; robust analogue/mixed signal circuits and design methods.
