FACULTY OF ENGINEERING
Introduction
The Faculty of Engineering of the Hakim Sabzevari University is one of the leading centers of engineering education in the northeast of Iran. The faculty’s aim is to address the international and national’s challenges with science and technology. To achieve this aim, the faculty collaborates with other disciplines, institutions and companies.
The Faculty of Engineering seeks to benefit society by creating engineering knowledge that fosters sustainability. It shares this knowledge and tries to transfer it to industry through publication, teaching and collaboration.
Since its foundation in 1997, the Faculty of Engineering has grown to become one of the most successful faculties in the university with nearly 37 academics professors, nearly 80 graduate students, and 40 undergraduates.
The faculty consists of three departments:
Department of Mechanical Engineering
Department of Civil Engineering
Department of Material and Polymer Engineering
Departments
Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering is the study of physical machines that may involve force and movement. It is an engineering branch that combines engineering physics and mathematics principles with materials science, to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is one of the oldest and broadest of the engineering branches.
Materials and Metallurgical Engineering
Metallurgy and Materials Engineering involves the engineering principles required to concentrate, extract and refine metals, materials and carbon (coal) materials, as well as to develop new alloys and materials, including ceramics and composites.
Civil Engineering
Civil Engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including public works such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, airports, sewage systems, pipelines, structural components of buildings, and railways
