The Denmark Novo Nordisk Pharmaceutical Company allocated 70,000 Euros to support the common international project of Dr. Vatandoost, the faculty member of Hakim Sabzevari University, and the researchers of the medical center of the Leiden University in the Netherlands.

This research project with the title of “Novel strategies towards blood coagulation factor IX that functions independently of the cofactor VIIIa” is in line with the previous common projects with Leiden University medical center to manufacture a recombinant super-factor 9 which is effective in the treatment of the patients affected by hemophilia B. The common research in this field has begun since 2011. Part of this project has been done at Hakim Sabzevari University and part of it in multiple research opportunities during 2011, 2015, and 2018 at Leiden University medical center. This researcher continued “since the Pharmaceutical Companies allocate the research costs only on practical and commercial projects, obtaining a grant from these companies is a very time consuming and hard process. This project has been sent since 2019 and after several steps of reviewing was accepted at the end of 2020.
