FACULTY OF ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING
Introduction
Department of Electrical Engineering was established at 1997 as a part of Faculty of Engineering and Technology in purpose of training the technical talents, providing expert manpower and implementing industrial projects at north-eastern Iran in this field by recruiting students in the associate degree in electronics. Further, by welcoming students and attracting academic staff members in different trends and in order to develop the field’s educational efficiency, since 2009, the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering has continued its work independently. Currently, this faculty has about 24 faculty members and has well-equipped educational and research laboratories.
This faculty provides two main undergraduate degrees:
- Electrical Engineering
- Computer Engineering
Following master’s programs:
- Integrated Circuits
- Micro and Nano Electronic Devices
- Power Systems
- Power Electronics and Electronic Machines
- Mechatronics
- Biomedical Engineering
- Bioelectricity
And Ph.D. vacancies in fields of:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics
- Biomedical Engineering
- Bioelectricity
Departments
Electrical Engineering
Electrical Engineering is an engineering discipline concerned with the study, design, and application of equipment, devices, and systems which use electricity, electronics, and electromagnetism.
Biomedical Engineering
Biomedical Engineering is the application of engineering principles and design concepts to medicine and biology to advance health care treatment, including diagnosis, monitoring, and therapy.
Mechatronics Engineering
Mechatronic Engineering is a combination of mechanical, electronic, computer and control engineering. It tries to have an integrated look at systems consisting of mechanical-electronic-control and software components.
Computer Engineering
The goal of Computer Engineering is to represent, process, transmit and use the information that has influenced many different sciences including engineering sciences, medical sciences and humanities. Today, it is impossible to find a subject that has not been affected by this discipline.
